CONDITIONS OF SALE
Our online store is setup in a particular way. Due to the nature of our stock being unique or one-off, the first client to fulfil their online order will formally be recognised as the new owner of that item. Unfortunately, adding an item to your cart without paying for it DOES NOT mean you have purchased it.
The Antique Co reserves the right to cancel and/or deny any transaction if we suspect suspicious activity or false details have been provided. All money (If deposited prior) will be refunded accordingly if a transaction is cancelled. We sell items on multiple platforms, therefore if an item is purchased from our website and it is no longer available, we have the right to cancel the transaction. If this is the case, we will certainly notify you directly of the circumstance and will endeavour to rectify the situation accordingly.
REVIEWS, COMMENTS, EMAILS & OTHER CONTENT
Visitors may post reviews, comments, and other content: and submit suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, or other information, so long as the content is not illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties. You may not use a false e-mail address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead as to the origin of a card or other content.
The Antique Co reserves the right to remove or edit such content. If you do post content, you grant The Antique Co the right to use the name that you submit in connection with such content. You represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to the content that you post: that the content is accurate: that use of the content you supply does not violate this policy and will not cause injury to any person or entity: and that you will indemnify The Antique Co or its associates for all claims resulting from content you supply. The Antique Co has the right but not the obligation to monitor and edit or remove any activity or content. The Antique Co takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any content posted by you or any third party.
If any fallacious defamatory comments or reviews are posted by an individual on The Antique Co's social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, legal action may be taken.
RISK OF LOSS
All items purchased from The Antique Co on this website or any other selling platform are made pursuant to a shipment contract with Australia Post. This means that the risk of loss for such items passes to you upon our delivery to the carrier. The Antique Co is not responsible for parcels lost in transit, however, we do take responsibility for broken items if evidence of our packaging & handling being insufficient is provided. In addition, The Antique Co is not responsible for parcels/items confiscated by Customs or Australia Post. We ask that you be aware of your States Rules and Regulations regarding certain items such as sharp-edged objects. In the case of a change of mind or error by the buyer, refunds & exchanges will not be honoured
ITEM DESCRIPTIONS
The Antique Co attempts to be as accurate as possible with all item descriptions. We handle secondhand goods, therefore please do not expect items to be in brand new condition. Apart from cropping, we DO NOT edit or manipulate our photos; what you see in our images is what you will receive. We use a high quality camera and lighting to capture the item as accurately as possible, although each screen may present colours and or patterns differently.
Size, weight and condition is provided in each item description. We test all of our electrical items although we cannot guarantee the item will be functional or continue to be functional. We do our best to mention any damage; chips, cracks, breaks, crazing, repairs, discolouration, fading, tarnishing, verdigris, patination etc. However, as The Antique Co handles hundreds of items on a weekly basis, small errors (such as overlooking a minor chip or crack) are possible. If an item offered by The Antique Co is not as described, please contact us as soon as possible so we can help rectify the issue.
SITE POLICIES
Please review our other policies, such as our Postage and Returns policy, posted under the FAQ heading in the menu. We reserve the right to make changes to our site, policies, and these Conditions of Use at any time. If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition. We send out emails to all our Mailing List subscribers of any changes made to our Terms & Conditions.

Can I book an appointment to view an item in your boutique?
Yes, one of our Personal Shoppers will be delighted to book a time for you to visit us in a private consultation at our Melbourne Office.
How quickly will you ship my purchase?
Lightning quick! Well, at least that is our goal. We endeavour to ship purchases within 1-2 business days. Shipping times depend heavily on the size of the purchase and the postal/courier service used.
Which Postal / Courier Service do you use?
We use Australia Post for most orders, however, on the occasion a different courier service may be the most cost effective or suitable option, especially for large or heavy objects.

Where are you located?
We are located in Melbourne (VIC, Australia). Our Personal Shoppers are available only via private appointment. We are not open to the general public.
Do you offer Returns & Refunds?
We have 100% satisfaction in our customer service, products and competence in authenticating our stock. Whilst we do not offer refunds for a change of mind, we will absolutely honour a refund or exchange in the case that an item is proven not to be as described.
Is your stock Genuine?
You may look at the price and think, wait... can that be right? Yes, what you are seeing is correct. We guarantee the authenticity, including age and provenance, of ALL stock. Our network of connections from around the world allow us to source and offer our stock in Australia at highly competitive prices.
How many items can I purchase at one time?
There is no limit to the amount of items you may purchase at any one time. We happily combine shipping to reduce shipping costs for our clients. If a bulk order is placed, your Personal Shopper may contact you to discuss the best shipping method and cost.
Do you offer Appraisals / Valuations?
