A handcrafted Victorian era 15ct rose gold signet ring with gold wash, hosting an oval white chalcedony stone (white onyx). A comfortable low-profile design, bezel set with a good frame tapering to engraved shoulders and a solid band. The onyx remains unengraved allowing the new owner to have initials, a monogram or family crest engraved if desired.
Age: c1860 - 1870
Size: Finger size M (Australian), with a weight of 2.2 grams. The white onyx measures 7mm x 6mm.
Condition: In overall excellent condition, consistent with age related wear. There are no dents or deep scratches. Minor rubbing is present to the shoulders, along with a minuscule chip to the lower edge of the white onyx, not readily visible to the naked eye. The bezel setting is secure and the stone remains sound. The gold band shows no bends or dings.
Hallmarks: Unmarked as typical of the period. XRF tested as 15ct gold.
