A remarkable mid-20th-century ceremonial Kris from the Dayak people of Borneo, circa 1950–1960. The piece features a hand-painted handle and sheath decorated in black and brown pigments. The sheath is further embellished with sections of brown wild pig hair and elaborate tassels incorporating red and blue glass beads, terminating in an impressive arrangement of approximately 50 wild pig teeth. The decorative elements are secured with traditional rope bindings, creating a striking and highly distinctive example of Southeast Asian tribal art.
