A Fine Minton Cabinet Plate painted by renowned Minton artist J.E. Dean, dating between 1891-1912. Finely moulded white translucent porcelain body decorated with a thick labour-intensive acid etched gold rim, with raised hand gilded swags, hosting a central medallion containing a Delft inspired monochromatic painting of a Dutch seaside village. This central medallion is further surrounded by a gilt band with raised gold beading. Marked on the reverse with the pink Mintons backstamp, and signed lower right of the painting 'JED'. James Edwin Dean was employed at Minton from 1880-1956, specialising finely painted landscapes and marine studies.
Measurements: 23cm diameter
Condition: Great, with no chips, cracks or restoration. Gold gilt border intact and without any wear. Light surface scratches to the painting, however not substantial.
