Formia Murano is an Italian glass studio on the island of Murano. The company was founded in 1962 by Oreste Toppi and quickly became known for its exquisite hand-blown glass bird sculptures, figurines, and vases. This blue bird sculpture sits on a textured clear glass twin branch base and dates to the latter part of the 1970's.

Condition:There is some roughness and excess glass beneath the branch base, part of the hand making process. There likely would have been a flower bud at the end of the branch originally, located where there is some excess glass roughness. However, it presents very well, with good proportions and no other chips, cracks or restoration.
