A miniature Japanese vase dating to the Meiji era, finely decorated with a depiction of Kannon and attendants, executed in gilt and raised enamels. The detailed figural scene is rendered with careful attention to form and ornament. Marked to the base with a red Shimazu Clan mark.
Measurements: 6cm high.
Condition: No chips or cracks. Crazing evident throughout and very minor losses of paintwork to the faces.
