A cast iron still bank, manufactured in England by Chamberlain Hill & Co., the front plate cast in relief with a horse’s head framed by a horseshoe and entwined hunting horn and whip, flanked to either side by a fox’s head and a hound’s head. Finished in bronzed patination with traces of the original gilt paint remaining to the horse’s head. The reverse secured with a screw and bearing the impressed registration number 624697, corresponding to circa 1912.
Measurements: 11cm high x 11cm wide
Condition: In excellent structural condition, the original painted surface now largely worn through with age, resulting in an attractive and even bronzed patina.
