Significance: Alison Hall's en-plein-air impressionist painting of the Flinders Jetty is an important reference as it is one of only a handful that depicts the historical Jetty in the 1970's prior to its renovations and part reconstruction. There are very little images and visual subjects available to the public of what the jetty looked like before modern day. We have attached an image to this listing from the Victorian Heritage Database of a 1971 photograph showing the L shaped design of the jetty as depicted in the painting.
