A copper jug with an embossed Art Nouveau design known as "Willow", made by Joseph Sankey & Sons, c1900, at their Albert Street factory in Bilston, (Staffordshire at the time).
With copper, it's a matter of personal preference whether to have natural patina which shows its age and character, or a polished look to highlight the metal's colour. We have left this jug in its original unpolished, patinated condition.
The "1 1/2" on the base indicates a capacity of one and a half pints.
Measurements: 20cm high (850ml capacity).
Condition: Good sturdy condition. Unpolished. Some weld repairs evident below base.
