A rarely found Queensland sawfish (pristis clavata) rostrum, expertly mounted within a museum-quality walnut shadow box and protected behind glass. An outstanding and well-preserved example, retaining all original teeth with the exception of one.

Sawfish are critically endangered species and are heavily protected under the Cites Appendix I, beginning 2007. This item has listed family and auction sale provenance which will be included in the sale.

Provenance: Single Queensland family collection, acquired by the family in the late 1960's. Sold through Philips Auctions Australia 1981.

Measurements: Frame - 67cm x 23cm. Rostrum: 50cm long

Condition: Excellent condition.
