A small Ayutthaya Kingdom period ‘blackware’ terracotta jar, of biconical form, with a wide mouth and rounded foot.

Provenance: From the collection of Veronica and Dr Christopher Hazzard, dispersed through Leonard Joel Auctions (Melbourne, Australia).

Measurements: 6.3cm high x 7.5cm diameter.

Condition: In well-preserved condition, exhibiting light surface wear consistent with age. The vessel rests with a slight lean, characteristic of its hand-crafted manufacture. No chips or cracks observed.

Reference: Similar examples in the collection of The National Museum of Asian Art under their 'Ceramics in mainland Southeast Asia' collection.
