An Italian Ercole Marelli inclinable table fan, c1920. A design that was exclusively distributed to the Australian market, this fan features a rounded stepped base hosting a shaft carrying a knuckle joint enabling the fan to be attached in an L-shape configuration to a wall. 4 brass round-ended blades surrounded by a 9-spoke brass protective cage, and Japanned in emerald green. Hosts a 240v Universal motor and a standard Australian plug, replaced sometime later on in its life.
Measurements: 35cm high x 27cm cage diameter.
Condition: Great overall cosmetic condition. Fan is functioning without faults, however, servicing and tagging in the future is suggested. Natural patination to the brass and light surface wear to the japanned finish. With brass, it's a matter of personal preference whether to have natural patina which shows its age and character, or a polished look to highlight the metal's colour. We have left this fan in its original unpolished condition.
