A fine woodblock engraving after John Sturgess (English, 1869–1903), depicting Craig Millar - The winner of the St. Leger. This is an original hand-coloured extract from the Illustrated London News, c1875. Mounted in a contemporary black lacquered wood frame with an off-white matt surround.
Measurements: 17cm high x 24cm wide (Frame: 36cm high x 40cm wide)
Condition: Artwork was professionally mounted and presents in overall great condition with no rips, restoration, discolouration or notable foxing. The frame has some shallow surface chips and scratches as pictured.
