Condition: Artwork is in excellent condition without damage. It is professionally mounted in a silver-fronted frame with black lacquer sides, which presents very well with only one small chip to the bottom left corner.
Biography: Born in 1955, Joyce Roybal is a British/American contemporary painter, active in New York, France and Italy. Known for Cartoonish, whimsical figure genre painting, "puffy people", his influence stems from Bolivian artist Graciela Boulanger. Roybal's paintings use decorative thick textures and often incorporates sgraffito. Many of his artworks have demanded high attention and value at auctions across the globe.
