Isfahan, Iran, Mid 20th Century Period. 
A scene of 7 men on horseback partaking in the traditional Persian game of Chovgan, hand painted on a panel of natural camel bone. Mounted in a Khatam (micro-mosaic) frame with hand painted border surrounding the bone panel. A stand is riveted to the rear of the frame allowing it to stand alone.

Measurements: 9cm high x 24cm long.

Provenance: The Collection of Dr Bittner, gifted to him in 1976. Written details on verso.

Condition: Overall in good condition, with natural imperfections, dirt and debris to the bone as expected. Some minor irregularities within the hand made mosaic frame.
