Set of 4 Kosta Boda 'Blue Rainbow' Stemmed Glasses By Bertil Vallien

A set of 4 liquor/sherry sized stemmed glasses from Vallien's 'Rainbow' series. Characterised by multicoloured ribbons of glass applied over a light blue opalescent base. These thin streaks of colour resemble abstract rainbows and contrast vividly against the pale background. Individually hand-signed to the underside by Vallien, the set exemplifies the designer’s refined balance of sculptural form and expressive colour.

Since 1742, Kosta Boda has long created glass that is both artistic and functional. Back then, clientele included royalty, nobility, and wealthy merchants; those who could afford the company’s costly bottles, drinkware, window panes and even chandeliers. Since the mid 20th Century, they have partnered with the world's leading glass maestro's and designers to produce some of the most successful glass products that we still use throughout our homes today.
