Tim Morris (South Africa, 1941-1990) A handmade octagonal-panelled vase (11cm High) together with a round lidded pot (15cm Diameter), hand painted with blue botanical motifs.
Condition: Imperfections, rust spots and debris within the glaze from manufacturing. Chips to interior rim and base rim of lidded pot. The vase with crazing to its interior.
Biography: Tim Morris founded the Association of Potters of Southern Africa. Born in Windsor, Berkshire, England, he recalled his first interest in art when he was 11 years old where he often painted from imagination or from cards of flowers, still life and nature. Tim exhibited numerous works around Europe, including in Florence, and at one time had exhibitions lined up two years in advance. He would also delve into the art of painting and produced several notable artworks.
