A group of two Thai jars (terracotta and stoneware) dating to the 14th and 15th Centuries, of typical handled forms.

Measurements: Average approximately 14cm high (5.5 inches).

Condition: The terracotta-handled jar was originally of tri-handled form, retaining two handles with the third now lacking. The loss is relatively unobtrusive and does not significantly detract from the overall appearance. The vessel exhibits a single chip to the rim, together with expected minor irregularities consistent with its age and manufacture. Evidence of prolonged burial is apparent, with the original glaze having largely decipitated, leaving behind a beautiful bare terracotta appearance.

The dual-handled jar would originally have been finished with a thick green glaze, which has likewise suffered deterioration consistent with prolonged burial and exposure. The vessel retains its original form, with a single chip noted to the foot.
