A striking group of two Chinese Qing Dynasty (18th or 19th Century) wood temple figures with intricate carvings and remnants of the original polychrome paint finish. Each figure bears a wax export seal to the reverse.
Measurements: 24cm high
Condition: In original, unaltered condition. Both figures exhibit natural stress cracks and paint flaking commensurate with age. Borer holes visible but not active. The larger figure exhibits a breakage along the left side of his headwear.
